چکیده

Background: Tibial plateau fractures involve injuries affecting the major weight-bearing joint and result in functional impairment which can be prevented by implying competent treatment techniques including dual column plating, assisted reduction, internal fixation with plating Ilizarov circular fixator. The objective of this study was to evaluate outcome technique treating closed tibial fractures.
Methodology: A Quasi experimental conducted Orthopedic department Combined Military Hospital, Rawalpindi from 30th July 2019 29th January 2020. total 100 patients Schatzker type III VI, 20 60 years age either gender were included. In all patients, performed. Data entered SPSS 22. Descriptive analysis done for quantitative variables percentages calculated qualitative variables. Chi square test applied determine association outcome.
Results: Mean 37.42 ± 8.94 years. Out 70% males 30% females, 76% managed fracture had excellent outcome, 15% good 5% fair 4% poor outcome. Functional respect age, gender, BMI DM showed statistically significant difference p value 0.017, 0.016, 0.004 0.001 respectively.
 Conclusion: is significantly better.

Tibial Tuberosity Avulsion Fracture and Open Proximal Tibial Fracture in an Adult

A displaced tibial tuberosity avulsion fracture associated with an open extra-articular proximal tibial diaphyseal fracture is an uncommon fracture pattern. This case report describes the successful management of such a fracture pattern in a 45-year old male using an open reduction and lag screw fixation of the tuberosity with a minimally invasive reduction and plate fixation of the proximal ti...
